SARAH ZUCKER

SARAH ZUCKER is a writer and visual artist based in Los Angeles. Originally from Canton, OH, she earned a BA in Theater and Creative Writing for the Media from Northwestern University, and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU, where she was the recipient of the Venable Herndon Award for Excellence in Graduate Screenwriting.

As a writer, Sarah's focus is currently on character-driven one-hour television, feature-length comedy screenplays, and comedy sketches for web production. Her first short-film, "A Picture is no Substitute," is currently in post-production. For a full list of of works as well as current projects, please visit the writing section.

From January to June 2011, Sarah served as the Interim Curator of the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography, where she produced CINESTHETICA, an event where 6 bands performed their own live scores to avant-garde cinema of the 1920s and 1930s. Her photos were most recently shown in Lo-Fi Heartbeat at Aperture: A Photography and Variety Store in Cleveland, OH, If I was the Cousin of My Mother's Sister's Son at Gallery Bar in the Lower East Side. She has been working on a live video manipulation series in collaboration with the Chicago-based band l'éternèbre.
